テレビの音、とくに「言葉の聞き取りやすさ」に着目して開発されたスピーカーシリーズ。ミライスピーカー社独自の「曲面サウンド」は、従来のオーディオが音の迫力や再現性を追求してきたのに対し、会話やテレビのセリフを人の耳に自然に届けることを起点に生まれた技術である。UOは、2023年発表の「ミライスピーカー・ステレオ」をはじめ、このシリーズのプロダクトデザインを担当している。
A speaker series developed with a focus on improving the clarity of spoken words in television audio. MIRAI SPEAKER’s proprietary Curved Surface Sound technology was born from a different point of departure than conventional audio products: rather than pursuing sheer power or high-fidelity reproduction, it aims to deliver conversation and television dialogue naturally to the human ear. UO has been responsible for the product design of this series, including MIRAI SPEAKER Stereo, released in 2023.
MIRAI SPEAKER mini
唯一の操作部である音量調整を本体上部に大きくレイアウトし、高齢者にも迷いにくい明快なインターフェースを目指した。0からMAXまで7つ刻まれた目盛りは、問い合わせ対応の場面でも電話口で操作を伝えやすく、使う人だけでなくサポートのしやすさまで見据えた設計となっている。
The volume control, the product’s only interface, is placed prominently on the top of the body to create a clear and intuitive experience, especially for elderly users. The seven printed indicators from 0 to MAX also make it easier to explain operation over the phone in customer support situations, reflecting a design that considers not only the user, but also ease of support. The fan-shaped outline directly follows the vertically arranged curved diaphragm inside, functioning as a defining feature of the product while honestly expressing the technology without exaggeration.
扇形の輪郭は、内部に縦配置された曲面振動板を素直になぞったものであり、この製品の象徴として機能しながら、技術を誇張なく伝える形でもある。さらに、持ち上げる際に手が触れる底面には柔らかなRを与え、手元に引き寄せる動作にもやさしく応答する佇まいとした。
In addition, the bottom surface, where the hand makes contact when lifting the speaker, is given a soft radius so that the product responds gently to the act of bringing it closer at hand.
MIRAI SPEAKER Stereo
よりよい音でテレビを楽しみたいというニーズから生まれたモデル。左右に配置された横向きの曲面振動板にならい、前面を連続した波形へと展開した。これは単なる意匠ではなく、内部構造と音の広がり方を外観ににじませる試みでもある。また、テレビ前に置かれる製品としてディスプレイを妨げない低いプロポーションを追求し、視聴体験の主役が常に画面側にあるよう整理している。個性を備えながらも主張しすぎない、その抑制がこの製品の佇まいをかたちづくっている。
This model was developed in response to the desire to enjoy television with richer sound quality. Following the horizontally arranged curved diaphragms placed on the left and right, the front surface was shaped into a continuous wave form. This is not merely a stylistic gesture, but an attempt to let the internal structure and the spread of sound emerge naturally in the exterior. At the same time, its low profile was carefully designed so as not to interfere with the television display when placed in front of it, ensuring that the viewing experience always remains centered on the screen. Distinctive yet never overassertive, this sense of restraint defines the presence of the product.d “curved surface sound” technology, are smoothly connected to form the characteristic wave-shaped front panel.
On the other hand, this front panel shape is designed so that the TV viewer sitting in front of the panel will not perceive a three-dimensional effect, and this will not interfere with his/her concentration when watching TV.

This is a concept sketch of the MIRAI SPEAKER Stereo, examining the contours of the front panel, where you can feel the sound waves rippling out from the two sound source units.
シリーズを通してUOが目指したのは、技術を目立たせることではなく、技術の新しさを生活の中で自然に受け止められる形へ翻訳することである。曲面のシルエットや線は、その象徴としてシリーズ全体に通底している。一般的な四角いスピーカーとは異なる個性を持ちながらも、視聴の邪魔にならず、使う人を迷わせない。その静かなバランスの中に、このシリーズの造形がある。
Across the series, what UO sought was not to make the technology itself stand out, but to translate its novelty into a form that could be accepted naturally within everyday life. The silhouettes and lines of the curves run throughout the series as a shared visual motif. While offering a character distinct from that of conventional box-shaped speakers, the designs do not interfere with viewing and do not confuse the user. Within that quiet balance lies the form of this series.
